Through a collaboration with Kentucky State University (KSU) and the Commonwealth Office of Technology's Division of Geographic Information (DGI), a DSM/DTM raster was extracting using first return values only from the LAS files. When AML created the raster files, DGI mosaiced the raster dataset, and identified several artifacts (slivers of missing data near tile corners). The areas with missing data were re-processed, but on a much larger scale to prevent these artifacts from appearing. Most artfifacts were eliminated, but a few remain.
